More breath—Less Stress. Pranayama for Every Day

Whether you’re prepping a high elevation climb or just weathering the Holidays: Neuroscience proves what Yogis have known all along - that mindful breathing can re-configure our brain and prime our body so we can surf those waves, and show up for us and our friends & family. In this workshop, we will experiment with steering our ‘fight or flight’ as well as ‘rest and digest’ response, using various breath techniques (pranayama) as tools to achieve a range of vibes, from to ‘you got this! wide awake’, to ‘calm and collected’, to ‘warm and fuzzy sleep mode.’

This workshop interweaves ancient yoga and modern science, combining neuroscience, breath anatomy, and yogic arts.

This is an all-levels workshop for yoga students and teachers alike, who want to expand their toolbox to create true stress resilience.

What you get:

- in-depth exploration of 5-7 breath techniques to ‘wake up’, ’settle down’, and ‘coast’

- targeted stretching for ribcage, abdominals, neck and shoulders

- facts about breathing from stress research and from Yogic studies of the ‘energy body’

- breath-based body scan for home use

- take-home sequence (handout)

- expert guidance, direct feedback, and plenty of time for Q&A

Investment: $75 USD

Location: in-person at Skyline Studios in Berkeley, AND online. Online: individual attention and inclusion in the group (German and English). Location provided upon registration. Recording will be available after the workshop for those who have registered.
